Classic Hamburger

An American classic, the all mighty Hamburger! Garnish with your favorite toppings to make it your own.


1 package Hamburger Buns
1 pound ground beef
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 pinch/es of red chili flakes, crushed
to taste salt and pepper
to taste lettuce
1 ripe tomatoes
1 red onion
to taste pickles, chopped
to taste mayonnaise
to taste mustard
to taste ketchup
to taste oil


  • Heat the grill to medium high heat. Combine the ground meat, onion and garlic powder, red chili flakes, salt and pepper into a medium mixing bowl and with clean hands combine all until well mixed.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 equally sized patties and set aside. Grill the burger patties on medium high heat until cooked to desired doneness, about 4 to 5 minutes each side, flipping halfway through and pressing down slightly.
  • Brush the insides of the hamburger roll slices with a bit of oil. Turn the grill heat down to low. Remove the hamburgers and place the buns oil side down and grill for 1 minute to warm the buns. After the minute take off heat, turn the grill off.
  • To assemble: add any garnishes you desire for your preferred taste. Smear some mayonnaise, mustard and/or ketchup on the buns. Slice tomato and onions. Place the burger and layer on lettuce, tomato, red onion slices, and pickles. Eat straight away.
